Laser Safety Training

All employees and researchers planning to work with X-Ray sources must attend an orientation session with one of the Health Physicists in the EH&S Office. This work-specific course is part of the certification process to become an authorized X-Ray user at the Institute.

Topics include:

• Regulatory requirements
• Radiation protection program and policies at the Institute
• Safe X-Ray use procedures
• Radiation survey Instruments

X-Ray Safety Training is scheduled for the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month 2:00 - 3:00 pm.

To enroll in this training:

1. Sign In to ‘MyLearn' through access.caltech.edu
2. Select ‘Course Catalog'
3. Search for training topic
4. Select desired class date and time
5. Select ‘Enroll'
