Respiratory Protection Program

The purpose of the Caltech Respiratory Protection Program is to ensure protection to Institute employees from inhalation of harmful substances. Respirators maybe necessary in some situations when effective engineering controls are not feasible. This Program complies with Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, §5144, Respiratory Protection. This Program applies to all Institute employees including PI's, faculty, staff, and students who are required to wear respirators during normal and non-routine work operations.
