Lockout/Tagout Program

This page provides the Institute's Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety program and procedures to help employees safely control hazardous energy during equipment servicing and maintenance. In accordance with the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health requirements, it covers topics such as energy isolation methods, lock and tag application, group lockout procedures, and verification of de-energization to prevent unexpected start-up or release of stored energy.
