rESPIRATORY PROTECTION

EMPLOYEES using respirators are required to be medically evaluated, training and fit tested. This 1-hour course provides respirator wearers with vital information necessary to properly use respirators. The session, usually one-on-one with a EHS representative, discusses respirator use, limitation, capabilities, inspection, maintenance, and fitting. A confidential medical questionnaire will be completed and faxed to the Institute’s Occupational Physician. Respirator users must pass a fit test on their selected respirator.
