Hazard Communication

All employees exposed to chemical hazards or other hazardous substances in the workplace are required to be informed of those hazards. The Institute Hazard Communication Standard addresses specific ways employees are to be informed about hazardous substances in their work area. This course discusses the different aspects of the plan with concentrated discussion on labeling, safety data sheets (SDS), waste management, and chemical storage. A discussion tailored to the needs of a specific work environment can be arranged.
